I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (also nicknamed the Mormon Church or LDS Church).  I created this website because I know there are a lot of people looking for information about the prophet Joseph Smith.  In addition, I’ve realized that there is a lot of rumors or misinformation about Joseph Smith, his life and his teachings.  Hopefully this website helps build the foundation of an understanding and points you to other resources where you can learn more at a greater depth.

The more I have studied the life of Joseph Smith, the more I have come to appreciate the man and the prophet that he was.  Of course, he was not perfect.  He never claimed to be.  But that didn’t prevent the Lord from calling him as His prophet and to be an instrument in His hands for an important work.  Just as I am grateful for the prophets of old and Jesus’ apostles, so too am I grateful for Joseph Smith who played a similar role in our time.

I would invite you to learn more about Joseph Smith, but more importantly learn about what he believed and what he taught about our Savior Jesus Christ.   Read the Book of Mormon and ask God through prayer whether it is His word or not.  If you ask with a sincere heart, ready to accept the answer that God will provide, I know He will answer.
